When these guys rang us in a panic, with a recently purchased secondhand catering trailer which was a complete mess, with the body detached from the chassis and had dropped on one side by 100 mm. We set about to repair the trailer within 4 days and get them back on the road prior to the next event, this included lifting the body back up to the original height, cutting out rot and repairing panels, reselling, then cutting 3 mm L aluminium section and bolted this through the chassis on all sides, repaired the door and the front gas box, re fixed internal cupboards which had come away from the wall, and repaired the serving hatch.
This will get them through until the end of the season, and then a complete refit or purchase of new trailer.
It has to be said, how many people in mobile catering, think there an expert when it come to purchasing horsebox conversions or catering trailers for there business, but it’s always best to talk to an expert before parting with your with your cash. It my cost you a £100 for a trailer report, but it’s worth it
